Gene Silencing - A New Theory of Aging
In the human body, there are
approximately 30,000 genes. At birth, a large number of genes are active, to
promote growth and intellectual development. As we age, fewer and fewer of
these genes are active, resulting in a slowdown in bodily functions, weakened
immunity, reduced metabolism, loss of energy, baldness, and other typical signs
of aging. This process involves silencing of genes through methylation of
promoter sequences and deacetylation of histones. The end result is that good
genes, which promote regeneration and general health, are "switched
off" and bad genes, that encourage deterioration and disease, may be
"switched on."
Studies at The Burzynski Clinic are indicating that some formulations have the
ability to reverse and slow down the aging process. Peptides and amino acid
derivatives, named antineoplastons, developed by Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D.,
Ph.D., are believed to work as molecular switches, turning on inactive tumor
suppressor genes, as well as other genes silenced during the aging process.
Components similar to these antineoplastons are the active ingredients found in

The proprietary amino acid derivative phenylacetylglutamine (PG) has
the ability to block the expression of genes that promote cancer and
inflammation in the brain while at the same time it activates

was discovered by Stanislaw R. Burzynski, MD, PhD.
The ingredient curcumin has shown in studies the capability to break down abnormal plaques in Alzheimer mice.
The ingredient piperine is an antioxidant that increases the absorption of curcumin, PG, and amino acids contained in BLF. Suggested Use: One capsules twice a day with meals, at least two hours taking drugs and other supplements, except for aminocare formulations unless recomanded by a physician.
