Solutions for Lower Back Pull
Lower back pain can often be the cause of pulled muscles or muscle strain caused by overexertion, or a traumatic pulling of the fibers past their point of elasticity. While some back pulls are the result of a high velocity impact (e.g., car accident), others are caused by repetitive strain.
For example, a person who maintains improper posture at a computer, or a tennis player who uses improper form may have their muscles tighten to the extent that something as simple as reaching for the telephone can cause a muscle pull. To add to the pain of a pulled muscle, the surrounding muscles react to the tear by stiffening to protect the injured muscle from further harm.
Treatment
For low back spasms, or to reduce the likelihood of spasms, apply an ice gel pack to the point of injury and apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer over it for 10 minutes, then let the area rest for 20 minutes, then apply ice and the Infratonic 8000 again. Also apply to points of tension or pain on the lower back for 20 minutes, three or four times per day for first several days.
