Solutions for Back Pain

Nearly four out of five people will experience back pain at some time in their lives, making it one of the most common complaints treated by physicians. Upper-, lower- and mid-back pain can be caused by a number of things, including muscle strain, overuse, muscular disorders, pressure on a nerve root, poor posture, sciatica, disc herniation, and many others.

Acute Traumatic Injury
Traumatic accidents or falls can cause severe neck or spinal injuries like vertebral fractures, whiplash, blood vessel injury, and even paralysis.

Treatment
For the first few hours or days after an acute injury, and in cases of chronic spasm associated with whiplash and low back pull, apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer through a gel ice pack for ten minutes, then remove for 20 minutes, then repeat. The coldness slows production of inflammatory chemicals that cause excess spasm, swelling, and bleeding, while the Infratonic 8000 works on reducing cellular trauma.

Pelvic Floor Inflammation
Pelvic floor inflammation can cause pain and tension in the lower back and hips.

Treatment
Apply the Infratonic 8000 system's FULL signal to the L-5 area for 10 minutes, then the thymus (in the upper anterior portion of the chest cavity) for 10 minutes daily. L5 is located where the lowest movable lumbar vertebra meets the inflexible sacrum.

The sacrum stores subconscious conditioned responses—based on fears—and is a central point of focus when activating release of tension and trauma in low back, hips, coccyx, and the rest of the body. Since a tremendous amount of fear and trauma can be stored in the abdomen and legs, treating the sacrum can resolve a large percentage of trauma based ailments such as chronic pain, hypertension, poor circulation, and impeded healing, as trauma based tension can cause constriction of muscles, blood vessels, and lymph tissues.

Low Back Pain or Injury
Pain felt in your lower back may come from the spine, muscles, nerves, or other structures in that region—including sciatica, a herniated disc, and lumbago. Lumbar pain may also radiate from other areas like your mid- or upper back, a hernia in the groin, or a problem in the testicles or ovaries.

Treatment
For low back spasms, or to reduce the likelihood of spasms, apply an ice gel pack to the point of injury and apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer over it for 10 minutes, then let the area rest for 20 minutes, then apply ice and the Infratonic 8000 again. Also apply to points of tension or pain on the lower back for 20 minutes, three or four times per day for first several days.

Lower Back Pull
Lower back pain can often be the cause of pulled muscles or muscle strain caused by overexertion.

Mid-Back Pain
Mid-back back pain can often be the cause of pulled muscles or muscle strain caused by overexertion.

Treatment
Apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer to the area of pain. If pain is the result of injury, apply an ice gel pack to the point of injury and apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer over it for 10 minutes, then let the area rest for 20 minutes, then apply ice and the Infratonic 8000 again.

Whiplash
Whiplash, also called neck sprain or neck strain, is an injury to the soft tissues of the neck. It's usually caused by sudden extension (backward movement of the neck) and flexion (forward movement of the neck). This type of injury is often the result of rear-end car crashes. Severe whiplash can also include injury to the intervertebral joints, discs, ligaments, cervical muscles and nerve roots.

Treatment
Initially, apply the Infratonic 8000 system's FULL signal on the back of the neck several times a day for at least 20 minutes. This will calm the affected area and alleviate soreness and stiffness. Continue treatment as needed to discomfort. For chronic pain associated with whiplash, apply the transducer to the affected area several times a day for 20 minutes.
