Solutions for Elbow Pain
Elbow pain can be caused by a number of things, but one common cause is tendonitis—an inflammation and injury to the tendons, which attach muscle to bone. People who play racquet sports are the most likely to injure the tendons on outer elbow—a condition commonly called “tennis elbow.” Golfers, on the other hand, are more likely to injure the tendons on the inside of the elbow.
Other causes of elbow pain include strains, infection, overusing the wrist, bursitis (an inflammation of the fluid-filled cushion beneath the skin), and arthritis (a narrowing of the joint space and loss of cartilage in the elbow).
Treatment
Apply the Infratonic 8000 transducer to the point of pain on the elbow for 10-20 minutes once daily, or as needed for pain relief. If you sense other areas of discomfort during treatment, apply to the other areas until the discomfort dissipates, then return to the principal point of pain for continued healing.
