is a suppository that is primarily made up of Calcium Disodium EDTA
and Cocoa Butter. It removes a wide range of toxic heavy metals
including Mercury, Lead and Aluminum from the body. EDTA is a synthetic
amino acid that has a binding ability to heavy metals and after
it binds to a metal, it is excreted out of the body through the
urine and feces.
The word "Chelation" comes from the Greek word
"chele" which means a claw of a crab or lobster and implies a strong,
pincer-like grasping. In the case of Chelation Therapy, the grasping is done by
a chelating agent and the object grasped is a metal atom. This chelating agent
forms a very stable chemical complex with a mineral or metal ion known as a
"heterocyclic ring structure." There are many examples of chelates in
nature such as magnesium in the chlorophyll molecule in plants, iron in the
hemoglobin of blood cells in man and other higher organisms and the incorporation
of cobalt in the vitamin B-12 molecule.
are many "Chelating Agents" in nature such as vitamin C ,
sulphur-containing amino acids and many enzymes. Unless some of the enzymes contain
a firmly bound metal atom they will not be active or have a decrease in their
activity. Even the usual drugs used in medical practice in the treatment of
disease are often dependent upon Chelation processes for their action. A new
science has emerged which deals with the subject of Chelation and is know as
Complexion or Bioinorganic Chemistry.1 The basis of this field is the inorganic
chemical principles contained in and well explained by Ligand Field Theory.
This theory deals with the mechanisms by which organic chemicals form
three-dimensionally stable structures with metal ions through sharing of
electrons. The resultant compounds are very stable and will only break apart
with difficulty. A review of the science underlying Chelation Therapy may be found
in a treatise by Bruce W. Halstead, M.D.2
principles, which are the basis of Complexion Chemistry or Ligand Field Theory,
are among the most fundamental in nature. In view of the array of nature's
applications the exploitation of these principles and concepts in the treatment
of human disease is not only logical but also predictable.
short, Chelation is a process whereby the metals are held and positioned by
body chemicals so as to facilitate chemical reactions, which are essential to
life. Chelation Therapy is the introduction of naturally occurring or synthetic
organic chemicals into the human body in order to facilitate chemical
reactions, which lead to the discharge of poisonous metals from the body and
the rearrangement of essential metals in the body for the promotion of life's
is a rectal, time released suppository that binds and removes harmful heavy
metals from your body. Kelatox® uses 900 mg of Calcium Disodium EDTA in a
Cocoa Butter base with methocel E4M premium USP for a time release effect. Each
suppository will dissolve through body heat and gradually spread over the
lining of the colon and be absorbed directly into the blood stream in
approximately 90-120 minutes.
EDTA is a synthetic amino acid first manufactured in the 1940's that has proven
to be the best broad based Heavy Metal chelator with very few adverse side
effects. The half life of EDTA is 20-60 minutes and is excreted primarily by
the kidneys within 24 hours but may also be excreted through the bowels. Almost
none of the EDTA is metabolized. Since the vast majority of the EDTA will be
broken down and not utilized while taken orally, the rectal route of
administration is more effective because it bypasses the gastro-intestinal
tract all together, allowing for a very high utilization rate. Using a
suppository will also result in a majority of the EDTA bypassing the liver and
kidneys on first pass, putting less stress on those organs and allowing the
EDTA to remain in the body longer, prolonging the binding effect with the
harmful metals. Kelatox FAQ
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended EDTA chelation therapy for
lead poisoning and other toxic heavy metal conditions for decades and is widely
accepted as the best form of treatment for such conditions. Harmful heavy
metals may cause or help exacerbate conditions as far ranging as decreased
circulation, degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, diabetes, decreased
adrenal gland function and Autism. The human body requires about 70 trace
elements/minerals for optimal function such as magnesium, zinc, copper and
manganese but there are several heavy metals that are classified as toxic to
human physiology and include lead, mercury, aluminum, arsenic, cadmium and
nickel. These harmful heavy metals have no place in the human body and may be
toxic even at very low levels; therefore the need to remove them is great. For
this fact alone Chelation therapy with Kelatox® should be considered as
"the first step to any intelligent nutritional or detoxification
you know someone who's had a heart attack or stroke. Or maybe your own health
has suffered from restricted blood flow. It wouldn't be surprising.
According to American Heart Association President Lynn Smaha, MD, PhD,
cardiovascular disease is still the number one cause of death for both men and
women. And stroke, which is the third leading killer, is also a leading cause
of major disability.
Which means, on average, three Americans suffer a heart attack every minute of
every day, totaling well over a million heart attacks each year. Millions of
other people suffer from strokes, high blood pressure or related conditions.
What if there was a way to reverse the damage of cardiovascular disease by
reducing cholesterol and blood viscosity, increasing flexibility in the blood
vessels, and removing toxins? Well, there is, and it's even better than you
might think … safe, effective and well researched.
Chelation therapy is not new. It's been around for a long time.
EDTA—chelation's main ingredient, a synthetic amino acid, very similar to four
molecules of vinegar—was synthesized in Germany in 1935. It was used during
WWII for detoxifying lead from the men who worked in battery factories or
painted ships with lead-based paints. Thirty years ago, Dr. Garry Gordon
established the first intravenous chelation protocol. And today, EDTA is the
standard FDA approved treatment for lead, mercury, aluminum and cadmium
poisoning. The American Heart Association also recognizes chelation therapy as
a treatment for heavy metal poisoning.
Since EDTA is an artificial amino acid, and since the body regards it as a
foreign substance, the body eliminates the entire particle—the heavy particle
coated with EDTA. The body can't tell that underneath the coating is some
harmful material that it might be willing to keep even though it is harmful.
Ultimately, both the EDTA and the toxic substance are delivered to the kidneys,
which excrete them in the urine.
Kelatox in suppository form:
- provides a safe,
effective, and more convenient method than IV chelation, for gaining the
benefits of EDTA.
- supports normal
endothelial function, which is vital to a healthy cardiovascular system.
(The endothelium is a saran-wrap-like lining inside the 7,000 miles of
blood vessels in your body.)
- prevents the
production of free radicals that cause cellular damage in the blood, cells
and organs throughout the body.
Detoxification of Toxic Heavy Metals
to the environment we live in, regardless of where in the world that may be,
not one person is exempt from at least a minimum level of toxic heavy metal
exposure. Because of this there is growing interest in removing these
toxic metals from the body through a process called chelation
therapy. Chelation is a chemical process that has applications in many
areas, including medical treatment, environmental site rehabilitation, water
purification, and so forth. In the medical environment, chelation is used to
treat cardiovascular disease, heavy metal toxicity, and to remove metals that
accumulate in body tissues.
therapy, simply defined, is the process by which a molecule, EDTA in this case,
encircles and binds to a metal molecule and removes it from the tissue. Once the
bound metal leaves the tissue, it enters the bloodstream, is filtered from the
blood in the kidneys, and then is eliminated in the urine or the feces (Dupler
2001). Chelation therapy can be administered orally, intravenously or rectally.
Oral forms of EDTA do not absorb well, 5-15% at best, and intravenous is only
allowed to be done by a licensed physician, is a lengthy process, and the cost
can run into the thousands of dollars. With the advent of the suppository,
the average person now has an economical and highly effective way to introduce
EDTA into the body.
Cancer and Chelation
authorities now say that the therapy's beneficial effects on blood circulation
may also have positive effects on impotence, intermittent claudication, and
vision problems like age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma. And new
research suggests that removing heavy metals through chelation can treat and/or
prevent many serious diseases, including pancreatitis, gout, both rheumatoid
and osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel, Alzheimer's disease,
multiple sclerosis-even cancer.
research supporting metal toxicity's link with cancer is particularly
intriguing. Several studies have linked high body iron stores with an increased
risk of cancer(1), particularly lung cancer(2). In one study published in the
New England Journal of Medicine, women with the highest iron levels7 were 50
percent more likely develop any type of cancer than women with the lowest iron
levels. Chelation may reduce that risk by binding and eliminating high body
iron stores. Click here for more information on Kelatox and Cancer. Click here for

Insert one Kelatox suppository nightly right before bedtime
so the EDTA will diffuse throughout your body while your metabolism is slower,
giving it more time to chelate. Kelatox may also be utilized at other times
during the day if necessary.
It is recommended to use Kelatox 2-3 hours after your last meal. This will give
adequate time to cause a bowel movement which will remove any excess matter in
the rectum and reduce any potential metabolic competition. If possible, avoid a
bowel movement for at least 2 hours after inserting the Kelatox suppository.
Using Kelatox on a less frequent basis will not cause any problems but it may
take longer to receive the desired results. Kelatox will remove harmful heavy
metals but it will also bind with some essential minerals as well so it is
strongly advised to utilize a good, natural multi vitamin/mineral while
chelating but separate it from the Kelatox by 8 hours so that you are not
removing what you are trying to replace. Also drink a good quantity of water
during the day to help with the flushing of the harmful metals from your body.
