Filter maintenance:
Prefilter should be replaced every 3-4 months, carbon should be
replaced twice a year, UV bulb once a year. Quartz sleeve should be
cleaned when changing filters, replace only if damaged or cannot be
cleaned.

The
UV lamp in PURA Water Systems look like fluorescent lamps. However, the
UV lamp operates using a low pressure mercury vapor that produces the
UV energy.
To allow lamps to maintain their operating temperature of 104ƒ
Fahrenheit, a quartz sleeve is used to isolate the lamp from cooler
water. This sleeve must be kept clean to allow the maximum exposure of
UV energy to reach the water. The Sleeve should be cleaned every three
months.
